Power stability comes standard

PreciLasers frequency conversion laser products are new wavelength lasers generated by nonlinear processes such as frequency doubling, sum frequency and difference frequency conversion of fundamental frequency light. In the second-order nonlinear process, since the output power is proportional to the square of the input power, the power fluctuation of the fundamental frequency light will double in this process. At the same time, due to the polarization and temperature selectivity of nonlinear crystals, the output laser power fluctuation is also easily affected by the polarization of the fundamental frequency light and the temperature stability of the crystal.

To solve this problem, PreciLasers products are equipped with a power stabilization function as standard. At room temperature, the peak-to-peak power stability is <1% (4 h). For applications with high and low temperature requirements, the peak-to-peak power stability is <3% at 15-35°C.

PreciLasers technicians detect the power at the laser output position and feed it back to the fiber amplifier through PID to form a negative feedback closed loop, thereby improving the power stability of the output laser. As shown in Figure (2), in a high and low temperature environment of 15-35℃, the 780 nm single-pass frequency-doubled laser achieves an excellent power stability of 1.6% peak to peak.
